A free reference pad for AI prompts. Sketch, export as PNG, and drop into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Runway, or Veo.
Everything stays in your browser. We never upload or store your sketches.
Sketch references are one tactic from the Creative module — which covers the full visual-prompt workflow for ChatGPT, Claude, Runway, and Veo.
Draw your idea with the pen, color picker, and brush size. Undo, redo, and erase as you go.
Download a clean PNG, or copy the image to your clipboard with one click.
Paste or upload the PNG into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Runway, or any image-aware model.
Multimodal AI models read images as context. A 30-second sketch of a layout, character pose, product mock, or storyboard frame gives the model spatial information that paragraphs of text can't convey precisely. The result: fewer prompt rewrites, fewer regenerations, and outputs that match what you actually had in mind.
This sketch pad is built for that workflow. No layers, no menus, no learning curve — just a canvas, a pen, and a one-click PNG export. Combine it with a short written prompt and you'll get noticeably better results from any image-capable AI.
For prompt examples that pair sketches and reference images with written instructions, see our AI prompts for product photography guide, or go deeper with the Creative module.
Export your sketch as a PNG, attach it in ChatGPT, and describe what you want generated from it. GPT-4o reads handwriting and arrows well, so label parts of the sketch directly ("sky here", "product centered, 45° angle") instead of describing positions in text.
Claude is strong at reading a sketch and writing back a detailed prompt you can hand to a dedicated image model. Drop your PNG in, ask Claude to describe it as an image-generation prompt, then refine from there. Useful when you know the composition but not the words for it.
Use the PNG as a Gen-3 reference image to lock composition, character pose, or scene layout before generating motion. A simple stick-figure pose plus a written prompt produces far more controlled video than text alone.
Sketch a few storyboard frames, export each as a PNG, and feed them in sequence to anchor camera framing and shot composition. Veo follows visual structure more reliably than long shot descriptions, so a 60-second sketch saves several regeneration cycles.
